[Dedications]
I started realizing that there seemed to be a lot of songs out there that reminded me of one or more of the Cyborg 009 characters, and so here is my little spot for stuff like that. :)
Songs for the Cyborgs: Click to read the lyrics. Lyrics in bold text are parts that most strongly apply in each case.
[For 003/Francoise Arnoul:]
Tonic: "Soldier's Daughter"
This song makes me think of 003 and the way that she always hopes that the end of running from Black Ghost will come soon. It reminds me of
her fighting spirit despite her girlish nature.
Tonic: "Lemon Parade"
Another Tonic song. This one is actually sort of for 009 and 003, maybe something that 009 would say to her, that he would have wanted to
protect her from the world that they face together now, and all the dangers of their battles.
[For 004/Albert Heinrich:]
Pearl Jam: "Last Kiss"
Almost perfectly describes the fate of Heinrich and Hilda. And yes, I know it wasn't originally by Pearl Jam.
Shinedown: ".45"
004's transformation from human to cyborg and possibly some of his inner thoughts during his life after that point.
[For 007/Great Britain:]
David Byrne: "Like Humans Do"
I can actually picture 007 singing this one... It especially reminds me of him during "Search for the Professor." For some reason. It just works! :)
[For 008/Pyunma:]
The Artist Formerly Known as/Prince: "Dolphin"
First let me say that if 008 ever sang, I think he'd sound just like Prince. Second, this song is perfect for him. It fits his nature, a little rebellious, a little pensive and thoughtful. It just works! :)
[For all 9 Zero-Zero Cyborgs:]
Oingo Boingo: "War Again"
It just reminded me how they all know very well that they may never come back from their various battles, and how ultimately senseless their enemy's goal is as a merchant of death.
Linkin Park: "Forgotten" (Reanimation version)
Trying to remember the people that they used to be, trying to piece back together their former lives and still move on and stay strong under the pressures of the struggles they face. Angsty, no? ;) Just read...
A Dedication from Sachi
[For Black Ghost:]
Sepultura: "Mind War"
